Group policies

See which companies follow your policies.

Book a call

A group sets policies for good practice, service levels and security, but each company runs its estate its own way, so it is hard to see who follows them. The map checks each company against them, shows where it falls short, and turns each gap into a change that company’s team reviews and merges.

What it does

  • The group’s policies

What the group expects, in plain words: how long backups are kept, which databases are encrypted, which service levels matter.

  • Every company side by side

Each policy is checked against each company, so you see who follows it and who does not, without asking.

  • Each gap in plain words

A gap names the company, the system and what the policy asks for, so there is nothing to interpret.

  • Fixed by that company’s team

Each gap becomes a change that company’s team reviews and merges. Nothing changes on its own.

Questions teams ask

Does Datapace enforce the policies?
The group enforces them, with the map as the check. Datapace shows where each company falls short and prepares the change; that company’s team reviews and merges it.
Which policies can it check?
Settings the map can read, such as encryption, backup retention and public access, and the service levels you set. Tell us yours and we will say which ones it can check.
Does it replace our security tools?
No. It is one view across the group, not a security product. Your monitoring, security and compliance tools stay in place.
